Online Cold Water Swim Induction

Service Description

A mandatory 45 minute induction session with one of our experienced instructors about the benefits and dangers involved with open water swimming through the colder water. This ONLINE session will be informative on the dangers such as cold water shock, hypovolemic shock and hypothermia and the signs to look out for and how to help yourself. Although it is extremely relevant to the lake, it also includes information on if you were to be swimming elsewhere. The cost is the same as an induction and swim as at the end of your session your instructor will book you in for a swim at a time and destination that suits you. You MUST complete this induction if you wish to swim at Beckenham Place Park or Weir wood Reservoir when the water temperature is below 14C. For your swim when it is booked, a wetsuit is optional yet highly recommended when the water is below 14degrees C. (under 16s must wear wetsuit) We have tow floats available to use. The course will be in person via zoom You can only book one person at a time onto this course as all participants need to be registered under there name and email address. To book a youth on, please drop an email to info@ptpcoaching.co.uk You do not need to complete this course if you have done an induction with us before. (If you completed the winter induction in the 19/20, 20/21, 21/22 winter season then you may not be required to complete this course. Please contact info@ptpcoaching.co.uk to confirm you are still on our winter swim database).

Cancellation Policy

1. You can Reschedule your session via the following means, Online members area, Email or social media. If you would like to cancel or reschedule up to 48 hours Prior to your booked session start time you will be able to cancel or reschedule your session via social media or email. Once processed you will be able to request a new session at a later date up to the same value as the cancelled session. We request extra time to give us a chance through busy periods to process your request. For more Control you can move a session yourself Up to 24 hours prior to your booked session start time you will be able to reschedule your session using the online members area on our website without a penalty. you can also cancel a session this way and if the cancellation is more then 48hours in advance, please contact us for a refund or a rebook and we can process it. 2. Less than 48 hours prior to your booked session start time you may request a cancellation or reschedule to your session via email, or social media. You MAY be issued with a credit that can be used against any future PTP Coaching booking. Refunds will not be issued except in extenuating circumstances. Decisions on the issue of a credit or refund in these circumstances are solely at the discretion of the PTP Coaching LTD Management. Refunds will only be given on request.
