About the Course
The Paddlesport Safety and Rescue Course (PSRC), formally FSRT is a British Canoeing Award intended for all paddlers, coaches and volunteers.
It is a one day course based on providing information and skills on how to safely rescue on flat water. This course is based around doing rescues using SUP’s, Kayaks and Canoes.
The PSRC provides information on how to do rescues safely, what to wear paddling, how to tow someone, ways on calling for help, and general information useful to take away paddling with you.
This course is a brilliant one to come to if you are a novice paddler and want some information on how to deal with common challenges on the water. It is a good course to do especially if you are planning on going away, or paddling yourself personally.
This course is a pre-requisite for the Paddlesports Instructor Award (PSI).
