Come and join us down at the lake and take a dip for international womens day. Giving the option for all to join in. If you have not completed an induction, please select induction and swim option. This will count as a full induction for you to be able to cold water swim with us again. Those doing an induction, please turn up ready for a 6am induction. The sunrise is due to be at 6.28am Already inducted swimmers, can turn up anytime between 6am-7.15am, the event closes at 7.30am. Imagine a gender equal world. Collectively we can all #InspireInclusion. Celebrate women's achievement. Raise awareness about discrimination. Take action to drive gender parity. IWD belongs to everyone, everywhere. Inclusion means all IWD action is valid. International Women's Day (March 8) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating women's equality. IWD has occurred for well over a century, with the first IWD gathering in 1911 supported by over a million people. Today, IWD belongs to all groups collectively everywhere. IWD is not country, group or organisation specific. 1 hour swimming in the lake. Available for those aged 8+ (Under 16's must be supervised by a participating adult). All participants (regardless of age) must complete a cold water Induction before attending a Winter Swim session. If you have not attended an induction, you will be refused entry to the lake and no refunds or credits will be given. Swim Inductions completed in previous years with us are still valid, but please confirm we still have your details prior to booking. We strongly recommend that you wear a wet suit when the lake is 14C or below. You can check the temperature of the lake daily on our social media channels. We are unable to include inductions from other companies as we do not know what theirs involve. The event specific safety briefs for Christmas and New Years Day are specific to those events and are NOT a full cold water induction.
